CBSE Skill Expo: Celebrating Innovation and Creativity

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts Skill Expo at both Regional and National levels, offering students, teachers, and schools a dynamic platform to present innovative ideas and exchange knowledge.

This year, the Regional Level Skill Expo was held on 30th July 2025 at Shakthi Residential School, Mangaluru, with enthusiastic participation from 45 teams representing 30 schools. We are proud to share that our school was represented by Srikar Dhaveji Chakravadhanula and Tanvi Satyanarayana from Grade 8, who showcased their innovative project titled “Sustainable Water Battery.”

Their project aimed to develop a sustainable, rechargeable energy storage system using water and solar energy—reducing dependence on conventional power grids during peak hours or nighttime. By designing an energy-efficient model using easily accessible household components, they addressed a real-world need with practical, eco-friendly innovation.

The project received high praise from both the audience and expert evaluators for its ingenuity, relevance, and potential impact on sustainable living.
